Fin-Tech and Financial Inclusion at BIRD Mangaluru

Financial inclusion of the excluded population is one of the major agendas of GoI, RBI and NABARD.
The term FinTech (Financial Technology) refers to software and other modern technologies used by businesses that provide automated and improved financial services. The fast and innovative progresses such as Mobile Payments have changed the way we manage our finances. Tech-savvy customers, especially millennials expect money transfer, lending, loan management and investing to be effortless, secure and scalable, ideally without the assistance of a person or visit to a bank. FinTechs attract interest both from users of banking services and investors of fund, who see them as the future of the financial sector.
Considering the capacity building needs of the stakeholders of this FI initiative and to better understand the Fintech eco-system in India, the resultant effects on Bank Business Models and the impact on global financial services, BIRD, Mangaluru has conducted a 3-day 20th to 22nd March 2024 in-campus training programme on FinTech and Financial Inclusion for bankers.
